Backup Care Options is the complete backup care solution for your entire workforce. The backup care program reduces absenteeism by resolving every type of breakdown for every employee. If your employees would otherwise miss work because of a breakdown in their normal caregiving arrangements, Backup Care Options offers care for loved ones of any age, at any time of the day or night, in any location.

Backup Care Specialists are available toll-free, 24/7 to find and schedule backup care, so your employees can get to work with confidence, knowing their loved ones are in skilled hands.

Below is a sample list of situations when employees can use the  Backup Care Options program.

“My caregiver is sick. My caregiver’s child is sick and I don’t want my child exposed.”
Even if a spouse is the caregiver, employees can use Backup Care Options to relieve them of the responsibility of caring for children when they feel under the weather.

“My caregiver/nanny/babysitter/mother-in-law is going on vacation, has to go out of town or has an unbreakable commitment.”
Employees can contact Work Options Group up to 30 days in advance to request backup care.

“My child is mildly ill.”
Children can be cared for and recover in the comfort of the employee’s home.

“My children are on vacation from school.”
Whether it’s Spring Break, President’s Day, or that one-week in the summer when nothing else is available, in-home and center-based backup care is available for healthy children.

“School is closed.”
Schools close for a number of reasons, including parent/teacher conferences, teacher in-service days, inclement weather or facility maintenance emergencies. Employees can opt for center-based or in-home backup care for their school-age children.
